Their collective expertise in nonprofit management, animal rescue, veterinary care, and equine-assisted therapy ensures that the foundation operates with integrity, transparency, and a strong focus on its mission.

 

The Board plays a vital role in shaping the foundation’s strategic vision, overseeing key initiatives, and fostering partnerships that enhance our ability to rescue and rehabilitate horses in need.

Shannon Roberts  - Chair

Shannon, the heart behind the Origami Horse Foundation, has a wealth of knowledge that spans nearly three decades in the world of equestrian training.

 

Specializing in English disciplines, including dressage, 3-day eventing, and jumping, she is committed to both horse and rider development.

 

As the owner of Infinity Farm, LLC, she prioritizes the well-being of her horses and the satisfaction of her clients, ensuring they receive the utmost care and personalized attention. Shannon's philosophy revolves around nurturing potential and creating an enriching environment for all involved.

Shannon's dedication extends beyond the arena, as she actively engages in equine education and community outreach. Through the Origami Horse Foundation, she strives to make horseback riding more accessible, offering programs that foster confidence, discipline, and a deep appreciation for the bond between horse and rider. Her passion for mentorship and inclusivity ensures that riders of all backgrounds and skill levels can experience the transformative power of horsemanship.

Chris  Meraz - Treasurer

Chris combines over two decades of experience in the equine industry with strategic business acumen. As a seasoned business strategist, he has helped countless equine operations grow through effective business development and targeted funding initiatives.

Lucas is a seasoned equestrian professional with decades of experience in horse care, training, and business management. As the owner of a successful trail riding company in Tracy, California, he has built a reputation for providing exceptional riding experiences while ensuring the highest standards of horse welfare.

 

An accomplished rider and skilled farrier, Lucas brings hands-on expertise in equine health, hoof care, and overall horse management, making him a trusted leader in the industry.

 

Beyond his business ventures, Lucas serves as the Vice-Chair of the Origami Horse Foundation, where he helps guide the organization’s mission to promote equine-assisted education and therapy.
